These Prosport Shortened Drop Links are suitable for these lowered BMW 1 Series models:
E81 (3-door Hatch) – made from 2007-2012.

Why are they needed?
Depending upon the model, sometimes after lowering a car, the OEM drop links simply won’t fit because they are too long. This is because the distance between the upper and lower mounting points of the original anti-roll bar link will normally be reduced.
Shortened drop links prevent excessive strain from being applied to the links and mounting points.
So, fitting a set of Prosport Shortened Drop Links will bring these benefits:
• Prevents strain on the drop link ball joints and mounting bracket.
• Avoids premature wear on the ball joints.
• Prevents contact with drive shafts or other components, avoiding noise and reduces the risk of damage.

Drop links can also be called “Anti-Roll-Bar Links” or “Sway Bar Links”.
These Prosport Shortened Drop Links are a direct replacement for the OEM parts
Do not use an air-ratchet/electric gun or similar to tighten the nuts – this can damage the ball joints, rubber boots or threads. There is a hex recess in the end of the threaded section to enable use of a H4 allen key to prevent rotation whilst fitting the nut. Also, a slimline 15mm spanner can be used on the flattened surfaces at the base of the threads.
